梅の花はいい香りですね。
梅で有名なのは、日本３大庭園でもある茨城県、偕楽園ですね。
水戸光圀が号に「梅里」を使うなど梅が好きだったのも有名です。
そんな黄門さまが隠居していた住まいが西山荘です。

今回は西山荘には入らず、手前の庭園を一周してきただけですが、もちろん西山荘もおもむきがあっていいですよ。
竜神大吊橋
西山荘より北には日本最長規模のバンジージャンプで有名になった竜神大吊橋（竜神峡）があり、景観、飛び降りる人を眺められます(笑)
5月頃には鯉のぼりが渓谷を泳ぐ景色や、秋にはきれいな紅葉が見られます。
